0 comments Posted by Emma Kizer at Tuesday, March 03, 2009 Labels: time sink- Are You Flirtatious, Fearless, Factual, or Friendly?
You Are Flirtatious |
You are outgoing, talkative, and incredibly social. You love swapping stories and jokes. You're optimistic and enthusiastic. You're both good at being a cheerleader and at cheering people up. You are a very charming person. You make connections easily, and you love harmless flirting. Sometimes your charm can turn against you. People tend to think you're a better friend than you actually are. |
Let me review:
- Optimistic? Check
- Enthusiastic? Double check!
- Outgoing? Oh yeah!
- Cheerleader? Check
- Charming
- Makes connections with other

You are blessed with a brilliant, dynamic mind. It's sometimes hard to figure out what your focus should be. You're the type of person who does almost everything well. You are very competent but also unfocused. You're not an easy person to pin down. You are vibrantly complex. You have many facets to your personality, and they're often in competition with one another. |
Hurricanes defeat Avs, Ruutu gets helper!
0 comments Posted by Emma Kizer at Monday, February 23, 2009 Labels: hockeyI continue to follow the Carolina Hurricanes. I watched them on Friday but yesterday's game was not on TV.
Matt Cullen, one of my other favorite players, is really coming on. He had a hat trick which is scoring three goals all in one game. How cool is that? Matt is even one of the three stars on NHL.com today!
I am also liking Jussi Jokinen a lot, not just because he has a way cool name either! He's not the cutest but he's a really good player. Oh, and Chad Larose -- he's doing great too! Chad was one of the three stars of the game. Go Canes!

team scores, defeats Avs
a treat for me

You are kind, caring, and empathetic. A lot of warm energy radiates from you. And it's not an act - you truly like people. You get a charge from people being around you. You are are easy going and very socially adaptable. You're willing to overlook peoples'quirks. You enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and helping them if you can. Giving makes you feel good. |
Happy happy Valentine's Day!
I wanted to take the time to let my Public know how much I care for them.
Peace, love and cookies!

You are a gluttonous eater. You love to eat, and you will go for anything that's over the top. You love to eat a lot of foods. In fact, the toppings on your pizza are a full meal... without the pie! It's been a busy weekend. I am happy that the Hurricanes are back at home now. The west coast road trip resulted in a lot of missed treats. The Hurricanes scored seven, yes SEVEN goals against the Coyotes and I missed out on some of the third period ones -- including the one by Rutuu. I'd blame Dad but I fell asleep too.

Hurricanes defeat Sharks!
0 comments Posted by Emma Kizer at Friday, February 06, 2009 Labels: hockeyI fell asleep on Hannah's bed in the living room and missed the Hurricanes game last night. We all missed the game because it was a west coast game so no treats but I saw the my favorite player, Tuomo "Roo Roo" Rutuu, had a goal and I have to acknowledge that here -- especially since it was a shoot out goal. (tell Mom that I will accept belated treats).
Samsonov, Cullen and Whitney also scored. Cullen scored on a penalty shot which is always kind of neat.
P.S. I tried to watch Rutuu's goal on NHL.com because they keep on advertising that every single goal in the whole world is online there but I guess they don't count shootout goals. Boo.

Superbowl Sunday!
0 comments Posted by Emma Kizer at Sunday, February 01, 2009 Labels: celebate, hockey, sportsToday is Superbowl Sunday -- a great big party and I think that there might be a football game involved too.
I am pulling for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let's face it, Pittsburgh has way better food traditions than Phoenix. Pittsburgh is the home to Heinz ketchup, the Klondike bar, pierogies, my beloved Snyder's pretzels (which I love because Mom had them when she was at Shippensburg). Pittsburgh is also home to the Primanti Brother's sandwich which I am dying to try. Fries are right on the sandwich! To me, these are comfort foods. How could I not pull for the Steelers?
I forgot how much I like Matt Cullen. All season he's been playing better and better. He reminded me by getting an assist (treat!) and a goal (another treat!) last night. I like him a lot but how can Rutuu not be my favorite. Roo! Roo!
You Are 6% Evil |
You are good. So good, that you make evil people squirm. Just remember, you may need to turn to the dark side to get what you want! |
- I've kissed someone I shouldn't be kissing -- I still think that Everyone Loves Goldens. Doesn't everyone want my kisses? They should! I think that it is them -- those people who do not want my kisses -- who have a problem.
- I've killed a bug -- No explanation here. I ate it too.
- I've shoplifted or stolen from someone -- If they put the stuff at PetsMart at dog level and invite me in, what am I to think? Clearly it's for me if they set it out like that.
Tonight I watched the Carolina Hurricanes play the New York Rangers. The beginning of the game was uneventful but Ryan Bayda scored about halfway through the first period while I was watching. Mom said,"Woo hoo!" and Hannah and I each got a treat.
This morning I worked on removing the squeaker from Hannah's toy. I love to remove squeakers and normally do that promptly. I think that Hannah may have hidden this toy from me though because I know that it's been in the house for a while now and somehow the squeaker remained intact.
Peanut butter dog treats recalled!
0 comments Posted by Emma Kizer at Friday, January 23, 2009 Labels: random thoughtsLast week I wrote about my fears of being contaminated by unsafe peanut butter. My fears were well founded.
Virginia Firm Confirmed As Source of Salmonella - WSJ.com: "On Tuesday, PetSmart Inc. recalled seven of its Grreat Choice Dog Biscuit products that contain peanut paste made by Peanut Corp. PetSmart said it wasn't aware of any cases of pets becoming ill from the products but has recalled them as a precautionary measure"
The FDA news release lists the details.

Sticky goodness in my mouth
Innocent treat
Friday night finds me sitting patiently while Dad grooms me. It's rough having all of this fur sometimes. My fluffiness does have it's advantages though:
- It's soft and people want to pet me
- It's beautiful and people want to pet me
- It's warm so that in the winter I'm all comfy even when it's really cold outside and Mom rides her bike in the house

I am feeling bad for Hannah. She licked and licked and licked her leg and I told her not to do it. Now she has an owie and Mom put green wrap on it. Hannah was walking around like she has a broken leg or something after that. This morning, her owie looks better so Mom is going to let her have the wrap off for now but if she starts licking, I think that she will have to wear it again.
Tonight the Hurricanes play the Sabres. Go Canes!
Note to self: Photoshoot
- Remind Mom to take pictures of me this weekend.
- Set up slide show with pictures of me and post to blog
- Decide if photos of Hannah should be included in slide show
- Be sure to ask to go outside as soon as Dad starts a DVD. (He likes that.)
This morning mom was getting some movies to watch this weekend. I guess it's too cold for her to ride her bike outside or something. Anyway, she was going to get what she calls "stoopid movies" to watch while she is on her bike inside. I reserved Dog Gone for her. She should like that don't you think? The star is clearly a lovely golden retriever. Who wouldn't like it?
Last night Mom and Dad ditched us. Mom came home and we heard John Forsland's voice. A while later, mom yelled "Woo Hoo!" and put both hands up. We all went to the kitchen and got a treat. Mom did that a few more times.
I check the paper. Matt Cullen, Tuomu Rutuu, Eric Staal, and Scott Walker scored. Thanks guys!
